How to Change the Oil of OTT Current Meters?

In two video tutorials, we show you how the OTT C31 and C2 current meters are maintained professionally.

Why is a regular oil change important for the smooth operation of your current meters?

If the current meter isn’t used for a week or longer, we recommend changing the oil shortly before the next use. This eliminates any friction and ensures the highest measuring accuracy.

The OTT C2 current meter

The OTT C2 is a handy water current meter for discharge measurements. It’s especially suitable for shallow waters in small rivers, channels, laboratories, and river models. It has proven itself for reliable measurement of flow velocities from 0.025 to 5 m/s and is available for rod measurements on 9 mm or 20 mm rods.

The OTT C31 current meter

The OTT C31 is a universal water current meter designed for flow velocity measurements in combination with hand-held wading rods or cable suspended from a bridge or boat. Different accessories like-sounding weights (middle pieces), sounding reels (winches), cableways and others allow the setup of complete flow monitoring stations.
