Webinar: Reducing Road Salt Usage

As much as 60 million metric tons (66 million tons) of salt are gritted on roads worldwide each year. Though being an essential and vital element to guarantee road safety, salt harms the environment, cars, and the infrastructure.

Unlike chemicals that break down into less harmful compounds, road salt persists and may remain in water and soil for years, until it eventually is diluted and carried away by moving water.

In our latest webinar, our road weather experts Laura Goodfellow and Erik Wright discuss the negative impacts of road salt usage and show ways to reduce the amount of road salt without impacting safety.
