Heading for the future – with renewable energy

The future belongs to renewable energies. Men have to closely watch the conditions of the environment they live in, in order to harvest reliable amounts of renewable energy. This is where Lufft can contribute essentially.

Let us start into the New Year by looking at something that went together with the old one: fossil fuels are water under the bridge. Or, ironically, that is exactly what they are not and that is why they have to go. Scientists have long come to the conclusion that our planet is not ready to face a future based on them. Their extraction and their use harm the environment and their regeneration takes too much time. If we relied on fossil fuels and energy production from outdated sources, we would soon be left high and dry. That is why the future belongs to renewable energies. They were given this name because they come from virtually inexhaustible sources, because mankind will not be able to use up all of them in a foreseeable length of time and because they are able to regenerate themselves. It is the efficient use of renewable energy sources that is the main interest of future energy policy that MUST be the main interest of future energy policy, if we want to supply the coming generations with reliable sources of energy.

The most important renewable energy sources are hydraulic power, wind power, solar power, geothermal power and renewable primary products. It is obvious what all these energy sources have in common: they stem directly from nature and their power and sustainability relies on environmental as well as weather conditions. Hydraulic power relies on the amount of precipitation, wind power relies – of course – on the existence of wind and on its strength, solar power relies on the amount of solar radiation in certain areas. Geothermal activities and the renewal speed of primary products, too, rely on climate and soil conditions. In short: men have to closely watch the conditions of the environment they live in, in order to harvest reliable amounts of renewable energy.

This is where Lufft can contribute essentially. Lufft measuring instruments and stations are able to protocol and evaluate precisely all distinct weather conditions and climatic changes. Whether it is rain gauges like the WTB100, wind sensors like Ventus-UMB or V200A-UMB, pyranometers or compact weather stations like the WS302-UMB: Lufft devices keep a close look on the weather. Lufft supports modern businesses to make use of renewable energies projectable and thereby to make way for a human- and eco-friendly energy policy.
