They are a bridge between roads and technology.\u00a0<em>Teede Tehnokeskus<\/em>\u00a0creates solutions for collecting, analyzing and implementing road, traffic and weather-related data. Our department focuses on road meteorology as well as traffic monitoring and carries out related R&amp;D projects.<\/p>\n<h3>The Project<\/h3>\n<p>In a tender issued by the Estonian Road Administration (ERA), Lufft sensors were able to prevail against their competitors. The six new road weather stations were installed by\u00a0<em>Teede Tehnokeskus<\/em>\u00a0in November 2018. The special thing about it was that the whole construction work took only a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The road weather stations are now located along Estonian state roads and were integrated into the existing road weather information system in accordance with the tender requirements. Some of the new stations are installed next to existing weather stations, others next to existing road weather cameras. From Lufft\u2019s side, six\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/products\/road-runway-sensors-292\/intelligent-passive-road-sensor-irs31pro-umb-2306\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IRS31Pro intelligent passive road sensor,<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/products\/compact-weather-sensors-293\/ws300-umb-smart-weather-sensor-1850\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WS300 all-in-one weather sensors,<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/products\/wind-sensors-anemometers-289\/ventus-umb-ultrasonic-wind-sensor-2303\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VENTUS ultrasonic wind sensors,<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/products\/precipitation-sensors-287\/radar-precipitation-sensor-r2s-umb-2304\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">R2S radar precipitation sensors<\/a><\/li>\n<li>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/products\/visibility-present-weather-sensors-290\/visibility-sensor-vs2k-umb-2298\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VS2k visibility sensors<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026are in use. They are characterized above all by maintenance-free operation, high quality and easy integrability.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMany thanks for the good care and support! We made it! Today we connected our last station to the internet and now there are six more Lufft stations in Estonia. I hope that they are as reliable as other equipment made in Germany we have used\u201d,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>reported Stanislav Metlitski, project manager of\u00a0<em>Teede Tehnokeskus<\/em>, on 26 November, 2018 \u2013 shortly after the completion of the weather stations.<\/p>\n<p>The installation of two further stations for the Estonian Road Administration is planned for this year.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-align: center;\">The customer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Estonian Road Administration (ERA) is a government agency operating in the administrative field of the Ministry of Economy and Communications.
