Now, he reports about his activities and experiences at MICKS respectively Lufft.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5115\" src=\"https:\/\/blogottprod.wpengine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Jimmy-Lufft-Hintergrund1.jpg\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" width=\"689\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<p>16 years ago I got to know the company <a title=\"MICKS.de\" href=\"http:\/\/micks.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">MICKS <\/a>&#8211; an abbreviation for &#8220;Microcomputer Karl Schedler&#8221; &#8211; by chance. Mr. Schedler founded it in 1989 and was initially focused on the production of electronic process controls for the industrial sector. Through a special order to install and configure ice warning systems placed by the official Road and Transportation Office in Hessen, to the young company started to take on a new direction. Since then, it deals with ice warning systems and road weather information systems (in short: SWIS) and takes over the complete project execution. Customers are winter services, airports and traffic control centers such as highway directorates or municipalities. A total of 1850 stations were installed by MICKS so far.<\/p>\n<p>There I initially operated as an employee for the field service and traveled a lot: The work took me to Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Italy and the United States. My biggest project was the installation of 68 ice warning systems in the Cologne Area.<\/p>\n<p>2006 MICKS was bought by Lufft and since then operates as wholly owned subsidiary of the measurement and <a title=\"Lufft Homepage\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/de-de\/\" target=\"_blank\">control systems manufacturer<\/a>. A year later, the project-based company moved from Oberstdorf to Fellbach into the sensor manufacturers\u2019 building. It took seven more years until my activities shifted from the field service more into the inside office work, where I also started to support Lufft customers from all over the world mainly by phone and via e-mail. Sometimes I still get outdoors and work as a progress disturbance manager, in case a customer needs me urgently.<br \/>\nAlso, I work very closely with Manuel Kreissig \u2013 well-known from Lufft <a title=\"Lufft Webinars\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lufft.com\/events\/\" target=\"_blank\">webinars<\/a>. We support and assist each other a lot.
