This year’s Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and its partners, will take place between May 31 and June 2, 2017 at the Neue Messe München – and we will be on-site for you! Here we present a selection of our all-in-one weather sensors as well as our snow depth sensor for solar monitoring applications.

Why you should get to know our all-in-one weather sensors

Do you know how easy it is to install the Lufft All-in-One weather sensors of the WS family? And that these are connected with one cable only? Do you know our modular, diverse models with different global radiation sensors yet?

On our joint Intersolar booth you will find a good selection of all-in-one weather sensors for solar monitoring applications: the WS503, WS501, WS302 and the WS510-UMB.

The compact weather sensors WS510, WS503 and WS501 are equipped with a global radiation, a humidity, wind, air pressure and a temperature sensor. The WS302 measures temperature, relative humidity, air pressure as well as radiation. The relative humidity is detected by means of a capacitive sensor element, the air temperature is measured with a precise NTC measuring element, and the wind measurement is performed by means of ultrasound. Depending on your requirements, your measured values ​​can be retrieved via UMB binary, UMB-ASCII, SDI-12 or MODBUS protocols.

The exhibited models differ mainly in technology of the built-in radiation sensor: All price and quality levels are represented – from a silicon pyranometer to a fixed or tiltable Kipp & Zonen CMP3 Second Class Pyranometer up to the Kipp & Zonen Secondary Standard CMP10 Pyranometer of the highest quality.

Thus, our WS family offers something for all kinds of requirements.

 

The Lufft SHM 30 Snow Height Sensor keeps track of your solar trackers

Furthermore, a snow depth sensor like the Lufft SHM 30 is ideal for solar tracker applications: In addition to radiation and compact weather sensors, the SHM 30 helps to maximize the efficiency and safety of photovoltaic systems. The laser-based snow depth sensor detects snow layers up to a height of 10 meters and is capable of differentiate snow from other surfaces such as, for example, grass. In addition, it runs maintenance-free during the entire sensor life time of more than 40,000 hours (MTBF).
